Add Google files, video & more

You can add Google files, YouTube videos, and other content to your site.*

Important: If a file is stored on a shared bulldoze or has restricted sharing permissions, but people with admission will be able to run across the file. Learn how to change sharing permissions of your Google files.

Tip: This section is for new Google Sites. Get help with classic Google Sites.

Add together Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms & Charts

  1. On a computer, open a site in new Google Sites.
  2. At the correct, click Insert.
  3. Select the type of file y'all want to add together, e.thou. Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms, or Charts.
  4. Choose a fileand thenInsert.
  5. To publish your changes, at the top right, click Publish.

Add a Google Grouping

  1. On a estimator, open a site in the new Google Sites.
  2. Click theInsert tab.
  3. SelectEmbed.
  4. Enter the group URL.
  5. ClickInsert.

Add together YouTube videos, calendars & maps

  1. On a figurer, open a site in new Google Sites.
  2. At the right, click Insert.
  3. Select the type of file y'all want to add, e.g. YouTube, Agenda, or Map.
  4. Choose a video, calendar, or identifyand thenSelect or Insert.
  5. To publish your changes, at the pinnacle right, click Publish.

Add together a file from your computer

Y'all can upload a .jpg, .png, or .gif image file from your computer.

Tip: To add other file types, use Google Drive.

Add content from another website

You can add web addresses, Google Apps Scripts, Data Studio reports, and App Maker apps.

  1. On a computer, open a site in new Google Sites.
  2. At the right, click Insert and then Embed.
  3. Enter the URL you want to embed.
  4. Click Insert.
  5. To publish your changes, at the top right, click Publish.

Tip: Some websites won't let you add their content to your site. If you can't add content, contact the website's owner.

Add HTML, CSS, or JavaScript code to your site

  1. On a estimator, open up a site in new Google Sites.
  2. At the right, click Insert and then  Embed.
  3. Click Embed lawmaking.
  4. Add your lawmaking, then click Side by side.
    1. JavaScript code must be within <script> tags.
    2. CSS code must be within <manner> tags.
  5. Click Insert.
  6. To publish your changes, at the acme right, click Publish.

Add Google files, tables & other content

Add together calendars, maps, and Google Drive files

  1. On a calculator, open up a site in classic Google Sites.
  2. Click the page y'all want to edit.
  3. At the superlative, click Edit page Edit.
  4. Click where you want to insert the file.
  5. At the top left, click Insert and cull the type of file you want to add.
  6. Choose a calendar, nautical chart, file, map, or YouTube video and click Select or Save.

Add a Google Group

Yous can add a Google Group to encourage discussion on your website.

  1. On a computer, open up a site in classic Google Sites.
  2. Click the page you lot want to edit.
  3. At the peak, click Edit page Edit.
  4. At the bottom of the page, clickAdd together files.
  5. Choose a file and click Open.

Reorganize, rename, or delete files

  1. On a figurer, open a site in classic Google Sites.
  2. At the right, click More actions Settings.
  3. Click Manage Site.
  4. On the left, click Attachments.
  5. Click the file you desire to edit.
  6. At the top, choose an action.

Tip: Y'all tin can only rename or supervene upon ane file at a time.

Know your storage limits

If you created your ain Google Account:

  • Your site can be up to 100 MB.
  • Max attachment size: 20 MB.
